The journey from Interlaken East Railway Station to Jungfrau means that you need to take 3 separate trains, with the first leg of the journey from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen. There are several intermediate stations on the way, and Schynige Platte is one of the stations on the way. This is a rail crossing, with cars patiently waiting for the train to cross.

This is another view of Crooked Street, from the bottom. The turns in the street are very clearly visible in the photo, and it was a good time that I managed to take the photo, when there was no car doing the downhill run.

This is a view of Crooked Street when I was going down in a car. The photo is not as sharp as I would like it, mainly because I am taking it through the window of the car, and while the car was moving (and turning). I don’t know how to correct for the impression that the glass leaves on the photo.

This was the first time that I was trying to take a photo from a moving car, and it was somehow not working out. Even this photo, shows a lot of blur. But I think that I need to move to a much quicker shutter speed for this one, and keep a large aperture to compensate for the shorter time that the shutter will open.

Actually, this photo is taken from inside a moving car, and because of the tint in the car windscreen, the road looks dark a blue tinge makes the shine of the sun look like it is in turquoise color

Just looking at this photo, you can realize that the cable car system in San Francisco has to negotiate many uphill and downhill roads. In addition, the roads can be so narrow that when the cable car is running, no other vehicle can move on the same road.

Traveling on the San Francisco cable car can be quite interesting. The roads are not very wide, there are vehicles parked on either side, and if you lean out of the cable car, you can actually almost feel you can touch the parked car. So in some cases, when a car passes you on the other side, it can seem that the road cannot take any more traffic with no space left.
