If you see the last 2 photos, you would see a type of moving of the streets of Athens changing from some beautiful houses to streets that are cramped and congested, with houses jutting up next to each other. However, this is not a negative remark, this is how most ancient cities of the world have evolved, and it is part of their charm and beauty.

For somebody visiting Athens from the third world countries, such as Mexico, Egypt, Malaysia, India, etc, such conditions on the streets of Athens would make them feel perfectly at home. You have cramped spaces, cars parked on both sides jowl to jowl, and houses with many of them having faded paint. I suppose this is the way that ancient cities show their face to the new world.

Part of the pleasure of walking through some European cities is the view of architecture that is somewhat older, with nice looking houses, cobbled streets, which was there in this photo, except it was marred by the view of the parking all along the edges of the street, which made the whole scenario as common as any modern city.

This is a photo of one of the smaller squares in the tourist area of Lucerne. There are a number of hotels over here, and plenty of cafes and restaurants which are fully occupied by relaxing tourists. Further, there is also some amount of shopping in this area. The streets in this area are mostly cobble stoned rather than concrete.

View of a Zurich street, near the railway station, and on a Sunday morning with rain; hence the appearance that the place is almost totally deserted. Looks beautiful though, even though the photo looks a bit tilted.

Interlaken is a proper tourist location in Switzerland. Here you can see fountains on the sidewalk, and it is a lot of fun walking next to the fountains.

This was the view in Interlaken – a photo taken in the middle of the day, on the street leading to the Interlaken East Railway station. The street and view looked beautiful, with the sun shining overhead.

Tip (Dust protection for cameras): No matter how strong the different camera body components are (including the all important lens), cameras will be subject to damage if they are not protected against dust. If shooting in a dusty environment, would be necessary to clean the camera every day, and use a dust jacket (in most cases, a water proofing jacket will also work).

This is a section of Interlaken after you head across the Bridge from the railway terminal side. These are small roads, with mostly cyclists or pedestrians walking on them, and with very litte vehicular traffic. At this time, we saw a horse carriage carrying excited tourists.

Tip: (Camera safety in case of rain): While rain can cause great pleasure in a photograph, you need to be sure that the necessary precautions have been taken. Most cameras are not water-proof, and you really need to be sure that you are not exposing your camera to rain water (and that also means that you should avoid dropping you camera inside water).
